They met in the ninth grade homeroom.
Dobbins High School in Philly.
She wasn't that impressed.
He was just a classmate.
Rasool says he liked Nov all along.
Ninth grade.
Tenth grade.
Eleventh grade.
Twelfth grade...
nothing.
Graduation came and they went their separate ways.
But then one day,
one fateful day,
they ran into each other.
The skies parted.
A choir sang.
Not really.
Nothing happened except they began a phone friendship.
For about one whole year they talked on the phone.
They didn't go out.
They didn't think of each other in any special terms.
Just friends.
Until the night Rasool asked Nov to go on a date.
Nov was a little surprised.
Very excited.
They headed down the Roosevelt Boulevard to Tiffany's Diner.
Nov said she did not fall hard and fast that night but there was a spark.
A definite spark.
And Rasool says he loved her all along.
He loved her in High School in homeroom.
He loved her the year of their phone friendship.
And he loved her after their diner date.
About three months later, Nov knew for sure.
Rasool was the one.
There was no jumping the gun for this couple.
Even though Rasool officially proposed just a year after they started dating,
they did not make it official for 11 years.
They were a great 11 years though.
In that time Rasool taught Nov how to make an omelette.
And Nov introduced him to Glade Plug Ins.
They were with each other through ups and downs.
And through it all, their love stood strong.
On November 11, 2011 they had a wedding ceremony.
In front of their family and their God
they made a promise to each other to remain faithful and committed to one another until the end of time.
November 11, 2011 was the 11 year anniversary of the day they began dating.
Rasool could not wait to make Novelette his wife.
Novelette had a wonderful time wedding planning.
She is a planner extraordinaire.
Nov's dress was custom made in Silver silk by Diane Dancey of Diane's Personal Collections.
She was the bell of the ball.

I love the way you do wedding posts. It's adorable. I find myself wondering if you could take pictures of me that would be pretty. Which is nearly impossible. Because I blink a lot. I wish you could do a little story like this for our family. Next time you are in Arkansas, ok?
