Stefanie and Olaf and Feli came to Philly from Germany.
Olaf's work brought them here.
When Stefanie and Olaf first arrived Stefani's English was limited.
Conversing was difficult.
There was something so nice about Stefanie though.
It didn't really matter that we couldn't understand each other, I was glad she was in our neighborhood.
I loved the kind of mother she was even though I couldn't understand the words she used.
Feli and Stef learned so much during their time here.
They went from barely speaking and understanding English to speaking it almost exclusively.
Stefanie and Olaf were sad when Olaf's contract was up and they learned they would be returning to Germany.
Although she greatly missed her friends and family in Germany,
Stefanie had quickly because accustomed to the United States.
I will forever be thankful our paths crossed.
I hope they return again some day.
I am wishing this beautiful family all the best.
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Oh my goodness, Becky! You knocked these out of the park!! I have about a dozen favorites.
What beautiful pictures, Becky! You always seem to be saying good bye to someone. You have a lot of strength and a lot of love.
Great pictures and looks like such a nice family! It's so sad when we make friends and then they have to move way.
Cute series. Love the hat!
What a great story in pictures. Glad to hear you had such a good experience even though the end is bitter sweet.
What a sweet family!! I hope your paths cross again soon!!
That second photo is one of the neatest, sweetest family portraits I've ever seen. Lovely collection.
PS Do you live in Souderton? I used to live in Solebury Twp, and before that Hatboro, and before that Doylestown. I liked it there.
A beautiful and courageous family. I wish them well.
Your photographs are outstanding.
Fabulous fotos!
What a beautiful family! And how nice to have a chance to meet such nice people and lucky to have you as a neighbor! Happy Sunday!
gorgeous pictures and funny that they're from Germany, too! Wishing them a safe trip home and hope they'll adjust back quickly. When I returned from the US (ages ago) the culture shock going back here was much worse then coming to the States. Funny, but true. Anyhow, I'm sure they'll always keep that adventure with them :)
happy Sunday!

Very sweet.
The family photo with Olaf holding their little love bug and she has a band aid on her knee is the cutest picture ever.
And the one with the little cowboy hat brim over one eye and one blue eye shining at the camera. Great pictures.
These are great! I love their sweet little girl in her hat! Precious.
She is a beautiful girl with stunning eyes. Nice set of photos. They will treasure them forever.

What a gift ~ to give them such gorgeous photos of their sweet family! We lived over seas for years, and have known many families that have come and gone like this. We are so much better for knowing them ~ seems you loved your connection with them in a very special way!
