Fall is flying by.
We are staying busy.
Perhaps too busy.
Kaish had a hard time adjusting during the first marking period of 6th grade.
He seems to like middle school more than elementary school though.
He does not like getting up at 6:30 am.
Not at all.
Who can blame him?
The best thing about this Fall has been Gary's work schedule.
Do you believe he has been home 3 Sundays in a row?
That is crazy good!
We are all so thankful.
Working 7 days a week stresses him out.
We have been thinking about thankfulness this month.
Every morning I ask Kaish what he is thankful for on the way to school.
This morning he said he was thankful he only had 4 more days to go until Friday.
That kid is too funny.
I have to pinch myself sometimes because I can't believe I get to be his Mom.
I am so grateful to Jesus for the gift of Kaishon.
Tonight I am listening to Baby of Mine by Allison Krause
over and over again before I go to sleep.
I am crying a little and I'm not sure why.
Time goes so quickly.
Thank you for joining us on this journey.

Ahhh. I went out today and took pictures of leaves. It soothed my soul. I have been taking a lot of pictures for other people lately; how about you? And isn't it nice sometimes to just take pictures for you? Kaish made me laugh with his praise for only 4 more days. Oh how we "get" it... 4 more days and then off for Thanksgiving. Hurray! I really wish Kaish and Adam could get together; I think they would be buddies. And please don't make me cry with that baby stuff. I can't listen to those songs; that's the kind of stuff I played when Adam WAS a baby and I was giving him a bath and memorizing every single freckle and wrinkle. So hush now, little baby. Don't you cry.... *sigh*....
Oh I"m so glad Gary's work schedule has been better! 7 days a week would stress anyone out! That Kaish is too cute and I just love that you're such a proud mama. That's worth a few melancholy tears, especially the kind from being overwhelmed with all that love. You have a special family, my dear.
Gorgeous detail in the leaf photos. And such pretty colors. But can I just say I can't believe your son has to get up at 6:30am!! Really? Maybe I've forgotten, but I don't even think I had to get up that early for high school.
Alison Krauss = LOVE!
Have a blessed week!
I agree with the days 'til Friday. I'll be thankful when this week is over and I have all of next week off!
So glad Kaish is adjusting to 6th grade. Middle school is a big move, but there's something kind of grown up about it which is kind of cute.
Yes, getting my 7 y.o. up at 6:45 is torture for BOTH of us.
Glad Gary's not working so much.
Love the Alison Krauss song, though some commercial about the Kardashians popped up during the listen; was not an enhancement.

Such gorgeous Fall shots!
Glad Gary is getting a little break - that's good for all of you!
Beautiful captures. Glad Gary is getting some Sundays off.
so glad he's been home more. you need that time together. it does go fast. it's okay to cry.
Yes, the time IS flying by! I wish we could figure out how to slow it down a little.
I don't blame Kaish one bit. Getting up early is for the birds.
Gorgeous, gorgeous pictures! Love this time of year! Hey, tell Kaish it could always be worse. Abby has to get up at 5:00 AM to catch the bus at 6:00 AM. BLECH!
The days are flying...it is hard to get a grasp on it at times. I've been weepy lately too; hate that my babies are practically grown up now!
Kaish is a funny boy; glad middle school is going well for him.
xo
These pictures are stunning! And I agree, how is it a week from Thanksgiving break? Tell K I hear him on the way too early wake-up, my alarm goes off at 5:30 (ug!) Hope you have a good rest of the week!
wowzers!!! Gary, home on Sundays??? AWESOME! Happy with you ...
and thanks for sharing all of these beautiful fall details. I drink them up. We so don't have that here in the land of palm trees...
Remembering and reminiscing.
Really nice Becky.
6th grade can be a hard grade, its so between childhood and the teen years. I think kids want their feet in both worlds.
So happy you have Gary home 3 Sundays in a row. That's a stress reliever for everyone.
Love your Fall pictures so much too.
I pray this weekend will be full of joy and happiness for all of you.
Wow! those are beautiful Fall shots. Fall is my favorite season just because of the colors. I don't blame him for not wanting to get up. I have to wake up at 6 and I can barely move most days. lol.
wow all the colours in your photos are just so gorgeous!!
I'm right there with you on feeling like it is all going so quickly. My son started school this fall and I feel it even more so now just how fast it all goes.
Beautiful prose and poetry and juxtaposition of mirth and metaphor. A really nice 'stop'. Thanks.
GORGEOUS leaves! Happy Fall. :)
Someone PROMISED me 6th grade is the hardest transition. I am counting on it. Ben would much prefer to not grow up.
YAY for Gary being home!!!!!! Praying it stays that way!
Beautiful post. Beautiful pictures. Enjoy the rest of this stunning season!
I love your photos! Love this time of year.
It's good to cry Becky/ It can be joyful!
Love the angle at which you took some of these leaf photos....Looking at them from a different plain. Nice!
