Said the mother horse to her child,
“I love you as much as a warm summer breeze.”
Said the mother bear to her child,
“I love you as much as the forest has trees.”
Said the mother camel to her child,
“I love you as much as the desert is dry.”
Said the mother goose to her child,
“I love you as much as the endless blue sky.”
Said the mother sheep to her child,
“I love you as much as the grass on the hill.”
Said the mother mouse to her child,
“I love you as much as the grain in the mill.”
Said the mother goat to her child,
“I love you as much as the mountain is steep.”

Said the mother whale to her child,
“I love you as much as the ocean is deep.”
Now sleep, child of mine, while the stars shine above-
I love you as much as a mother can love.
I love you as much by Laura Krauss Melmed?
It has always been one of my favorites to read to Kaish.

I Love You, David by David Shannon. It's so awesome! My son made me read it to him every single night when he was little.
I love that, Becky. Gonna have to check that one out at the library next week.
My all-time favorite book from my childhood was "Over in the Meadow" illustrated by Ezra Keats. My mommy read it to me every night when I was small, and I can still quote it word for word.
My kids were really fond of "The Big Red Barn" by Margaret Wise Brown. I've got that one memorized, too.
I ♥ childrens literature.
Oh my, I do love this and the stunning pictures too. It reminds me of a book Hubby had as a young child. It was called Fuss Bunny. It all worked up to the next to the last page where it said that Fuss Bunny's mother didn't like him.......turn the page....
She loved him.
This is wonderful, I was so much hoping that you would say who wrote it and where it was from at the end. I have not read it and I don't know the talented author. I liked Beatrix Potter's stories, Peter Rabbit, etc. Also Winnie The Pooh.

:)
my favorite story just off the top of my head is The Giving Tree.
lovely shots as usual.
Sandra Boynton's Pajama Time, Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham.

I don't remember a book from my childhood, but my favorite books that I read to my baby boys were Goodnight Moon and Guess How Much I Love You. I am always sure to include them in my baby shower gifts!

Mine has to be Guess How Much I Love You. For me, I think the little ones didn't quite get it until they were grown with theirown little ones. Beautiful pictures. I hope you are doing better today. You are the loveliest person I've come across in blogland. Thanks for your sweetness.

So sweet! I wish I had story time growing up. Unfortunately, there was never anytime for storytime, especially in a single parent home. However, we did bond over the 10pm news each night :) It was our very own nightly tradition, albeit a bizarre one!
