May Flower by Emily Dickinson
Pink, small, and punctual,
Aromatic, low,
Covert in April,
Candid in May,
Dear to the moss,
Known by the knoll,
Next to the robin
In every human soul.
Bold little beauty,
Bedecked with thee,
Nature forswears
Antiquity. ![]()
Flower celebrations will be abundant at I Heart Faces this week.
Do go and visit.
Be inspired in the most delightful of ways.
A flower joke perhaps?
While attending a Marriage Seminar dealing with communication, Tom and his wife Grace listened to the instructor, "It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other."
He addressed the man, "Can you describe your wife's favorite flower?"
Tom leaned over, touched his wife's arm gently and whispered, "It's self-rising, isn't it?"
The rest of the story gets rather ugly, so I'll stop right here.
Do you have a favorite flower?

my favorite flower? hard to narrow it down to just one. i'm fond of dandelions and wild violets because without them there would be no mommy bouquets in dirty little fists.
