OMWord. I have been so out of it. I love your headers. So cool! I totally want some like that. You Rock the camera. YOur dad's face is so sweet. Awesome Pictures of West Philly. Why do I want to keep singing the theme song to Fresh Prince of Bel Air?
Wow, these are great pictures! I've never been to Philly, it looks like it has a lot of history and stories to tell. I LOVE that church shot...I'm rather partial to big cathedrals and churches.
PS - I really like your changing header images...awesome pictures. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier!
You seem to find the beauty no matter where you are. Every city has a story and this is no exception. I love you pictures as always. Happy Sunday to you and your family.
when we lived there, my husband and I always dreamed of buying and restoring one... they are sooooo beautiful, but the neighborhoods are just not that great, unfortunately... but the communities are amazing.
The picture of the tires makes me want to start collecting old tires and recycling into sandals or art. The church with the light going in circles across it is inviting. The artwork on the brick wall is beautiful work. Someone wants to keep control of "their" shopping cart, huh. The quote by Christopher Reeve made my lump in my throat bigger.
These were some incredible photographs. Unbelievable. And the quote is perfection. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us today. Your blog is truly a treasure!
Great photos! love them! I visited Philly when I was 20 and living in Pennsylvania. I think I saw Phantom of the Opera there> Excuse my ignorance but is that where the Liberty Bell is?? Anyway...great photos and oh that smile from your boy makes me melt!
Didn't the Fresh Prince come from here? I'm trying to sing the theme song right now... yes I believe he did. These little connections are exciting for us foreigners.
Hope indeed!!! Beautiful pictures!! I know the LORD can restore such streets!! Your blog is amazing! I cant wait to read more!! Thanks for stoppin by mine :)
I just came across your blog by coincidence and had to leave you this note. TY so much for your wonderful storytelling photos...it is not that there aren't others around taking great pics but yours have been touching me in a special way. Even in the sadest places they seem to shine with hope and love. Sorry for my bad English :) Hugs from overseas

Isn't it interesting how beauty can come out of unexpected places, it is all over and all around us!
All those colors. Love it. Those shots of the church are wonderful; I love the architecture of big churches. Nothing like it.
oh my goodness. I simply LOVE these! They really touch my heart and they say SOOOO much without actually saying a word. Fantastic!
I can't get Fresh Prince out of my head now. Thanks for that. :)
You are an amazing photographer.
You see such sad pics and then there is a church, a sense of hope! I so love your pics!
Wow. There are so many contrasts, so many complexities in this array of photos.
Great pictures!!! And it looks an awful lot like Detroit.

Looks a little "rough"!

These pictures are stunning. I felt like as I looked at each one I could see a story.
Sometimes hope is all we have. Great post Becky.
