‘We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.’
~Thornton Wilder
The magic evening light of Spring.
Finding treasures to photograph.
(Sometimes getting pulled over by Security Guards…)
Whoopsie Daisy.
Helping Grammy pick up sticks.
You know how some men pride themselves on having the best lawn in their neighborhood?
We always prided ourselves on having the most yellow flowers (also know as dandelions….)
The flowers of Spring are so magical.
And so is Sofia.
My 3 year old lunch date,
who begged for a picture.
I used to have to beg and plead
her to let me take just one.
Can you believe how she is growing?
I love her so much.
The prettiest light.
The best boys ever-
who make life pure joy.

i love that quote! it is important to be conscious of our treasures! spring is looking pretty lovely... and i'll say that dandylions are flowers, too :)
My most favorite thing about Spring is the warm days while still having cool nights, the wonderous scents that waft through the air, the stunning colors creating a painter's palate of shades, and the renewal of one's soul.
I just love the whole "rebirth" of nature in the Springtime ... I love the greenish and yellow colors and the warming of the air ... we're almost ready to hang out on the deck again at night-time!!!
I love the 70 degree days. Perfections.

great spring shots! Sofia is very sweet! But I have to argue with you, for although your boys are definitely wonderful, I have the best boys EVER in the world ;D !!
Just getting out of the house for a while is what is nice about. Great shots.
I know I say this every single time, but you are SO GOOD!! I love seeing the world through your eyes. And, my favorite thing about spring? The flowers. I'm so unoriginal. :)
I was just out in the yard taking pictures of our flowers and I told Bob how much I liked Spring with all of the new growth and flowers just waiting to be photographed.
I love that old garage. Funny how those beat up buildings don't look good in our yards, but have such character in pictures.
I love smelling the flowers in bloom, I am totally loving the lilacs this year! And the cherry trees have also been gorgeous and fragrant.
Love the shots!

Love the shots!
I love everything turning green again after a long white/gray winter!
Love the pictures, and the old peeling paint shed...Love that!
Sofia is sooo big! :)
My favorite is just being outside on a sunny day, watching the kids play!
...the return of warm weather and all things green!
That first shot is a treasure! But the "real" treasure is having your family around to take wonderful pictures of them. :)
Those are some pretty great spring things. I think my favorite thing about spring is how everyone's moods are just lightened.
Your son's smile is just awesome. At least, I'm assuming that's your son, I'm fairly new here, but pretty sure I have that much figured out.
I love that you are already introducing your children to the joys of security guards. :)
I love not running my a/c all the time in the spring. but we are....
I DO love seeing my lawn get green again.
Thos boys are the best stick picker upers ever.
You guys have a real spring! We got a ton of snow here today. :(
I love these pictures! Sof is so cute. I'm glad Spring is here, too, and can't wait to take more pictures this summer. :)
If dandelions grew somewhere besides our yards they would be prized flowers. I remember seeing meadows of wild dandelions in Colorado. They were stunningly beautiful.
An Arkies Musings
Love it!
Flip flops:)
Just beautiful. And I love the Thornton Wilder quote...he's my favorite author.
Cute date! And my favorite thing is summer is on the way!
Love the quote at the top - it's so true! Great photos!

You always find the most beautiful saying to go along with your lovely photos. I know I can count on smiling whenever I come over :)
All your pictures in this post look so professional and I know it isn't just the gorgeous evening Spring light! Immmad impressed! I love everything about this post!
You are just such a treasure. I really love your photos and sentiments.
Lovely photos and comments under each one. I like that your are so much for family and friends.
Nuts in May
Yay for helping Grammy with sticks! :) We always helped my Great Aunt with her (piles of!) pinecones.
I love Spring because of everything coming to life. Even kittens. There's a litter somewhere in our barn. One of these days I'm going to get pictures of them. ;)
Your first picture reminds me very much of my grandparents' garage. I used to peak in the crack between the sliding door and the frame and marvel at all the treasures inside. My favorite was the metal pedal tractor and pedal car. :)
I love Spring's smells, longer days and blossoms. I also love your photos. The old house is really cool. And your little helpers picking up sticks - fantastic!
The green. Ahhhhhh. The green!
I love flower buds and all the tiny buds on the trees
they're so hopeful and sweet
the photo of Sofia is lovely
she has such a sweet expression on her face
That is one of my favorite quotes!
I think I missed the security guard story, though. I'm off to read some of your older posts.
we're a dandelion family too :P
Don't have spring from where I live, I'm delighted of your photos it showed me what spring is about.:-) Change of season is great, there's always something to look forward to!Enjoy
All excellent reasons to love spring! That old building is wonderful, what stories it could tell! As for spring, still waiting for it to arrive... we've had a few days when I thought maybe it had, but then back to cold and no fun!
Your family is so photogenic. I wish I had a wagon to pull when I am out picking up twigs and branches.
Great pics. I love Spring too.
Dandelions have always been my favorite. When they're done being bright and yellow, they turn into wishing-machines! In the semi-famous words of Peter Griffin, "Some people say that dandelions are just weeds, but I always thought, hey, who the heck decided tulips are so great?"
:)
Beautiful pictures! My favorite thing about Spring is the warm air, bright sunshine, and the green. (Couldn't pick just one!)
Have a great weekend!
Yeah- not the snow I can tell you that much ;) Today is better and the snows melted. I grew up in the Lehigh Valley and our family (who still lives there) all called this week to see if it was really true we had snow. Yup.
Your photos are magical and I just love your quotes. Such a wonderful experience every time I am here!
i love that top photo - it would make a neat contribution to Favorite Photo Friday.
Your pictures are always wonderful.
I love Spring and the color green, and all things growing big and strong. LIke Kaishon!
I just love that old shed. How cool is that photo?! Definitely worth get chased by security guards! lol
Best part about spring is the sunshine. I soak in every minute.
I LOVE that old barn/shed thing!
I love that the weather get warmer and JDaniel can pick up sticks.
The smells
- freshly cut grass
- flowers
- the smell after a rainstorm
The sounds
- birds chirping
- kids playing in the street
- lawns being mowed
The sight of
- Rainbows
- lightning storms
- green grass
- blooming flowers-
- Sunsets
I love spring and I love taking photos in it too!
Your pictures are so fun of joy and life! Love the one of the tulips farther down the page!
I LOVE those pictures. Kaish and Soshi are so full of life...they make everything fun! I love spring for the rebirth and renewing...the green grass and trees...bountiful blooms...and warmth, especially the warmth.
Hope you're having a fabulous Friday, my friend!!♥
You always have the most gorgeous of photos. I just want to get lost in them.
My favorite of Spring are the nice weather, beautiful green springing up all around and the smell (sinus no likey) and the flowers. Spring is magical.
A Kitten!! How Fun!! They are a laugh a minute. I know how hard it is to get a picture. Even slow old Nicky is VERY hard to capture with the camera. Enjoy!
Hi Back!
You have a beautiful family, a beautiful blog, and a beautiful picture-taking style. So glad you visited my blog so that I would be motivated to see yours!
Beautiful, beautiful pictures! My favourite thing about spring is the knowing that Summer is on it's way, which means new sunshine and Christmas down here in Australia.
K xx (from www.thoseblissmoments.blogspot.com)
Spring means more outdoors....and more work. Cute shots.
You always take the most beautiful pictures. And yes, Sophia is gorgeous!!!
Is Kaishon getting his hair braided soon?
Justine :o )

Wow you are right Sofia is getting so BIG!!! I remember seeing pics of her as a baby!!! Love all the pics as usual!
I love that shed!
Also, please tell me Sofia is an old 3, because she seems much more grown up than my Bella (who is a new 3).
The colors, the smell of night blooming jasmine, Easter, bare feet, and SPRING BREAK!!
No heavy coats. No gloves. No hats. Just maybe a soft cashmere sweater...
I love spring blooms. I have a brown thumb and how I wish I have a green thumb! When spring comes, I eagerly await to see which of my flowers bloom. Always the weeds of course! Spring is a miserable time for my daughter and husband because it's also allergy season. :(
All of these pics are awesome but I love that first one.
My favorite thing about spring is all of the flowers blossoming. SO pretty! =)
Gorgeous photos!
Spring? You mean it's spring? It must have sprung while I was sick inside with this yucko crud for 3 weeks...
But I have caught glimpses of lilacs blooming outside my window - it's such a marvelous time of year!
(Thanks for your comment about my kitchen being clean - I totally giggled!)

All things new! Your pics bring joy Becky!

My favourite thing about spring is watching every new leaf on a tree and flower bloom!!!!! Its like beginning life anew!!!!
I love Spring. we bought this house almost a year ago and the people that lived here before planted a lot of flowers. It is great to see them blooming now.
Gosh girl. This is amazing. I'll definitely be back.
First, I have to tell you that your pictures...all of them...make me smile.
And secondly, I don't know what "spring" feels like. We have only two seasons all year long...HOT and HOT AS HELL!
