and I need your help : )
Bet you didn't know that YoU
were my own personal counselor,
Did ya?
Well, pull up a chair.
I will intersperse some vacation pictures
along with the drama!
Cause I just KNOW you are dying
to see my sweet little family!
Here is the problem!
Oh no, no, no,
Ben is not the problem,
I meant, Here is the problem I need your help with!
The night before we left for vacation I got a call.
Now, you know how it is the night before vacation, right?
All calm and happy and peaceful?
Well, maybe at your house, but not at ours!
I was up to my knees in laundry,
searching for empty suitcases,
and of course we were COMPLETELY out of groceries,
everyone was starving,
to call it chaotic would be kind.
So, the phone rings.
Lo and behold it is my salesman from the camera shop.
I really like him.
{He faithfully encourages me to spend massive
amounts of money on lenses and such.}
Anyway, he is calling to tell me that
he is ON HIS WAY OVER!
What, in the world?!!?!?!??!?!?!
Apparently, and I truly don't remember this at all,
I had told him that he and his 'Regional Manager'
could come over for a "presentation"
and he was lost.
Now, I immediately got nervous.
The house was insane.
Gary HATES 'presentations' of any kind.
I can't say no to anything....
I asked him if we could reschedule
and he said it would be "So much better to meet tonight-
he had something 'life changing' to show me.
Hmmmmmm. I gave him directions.
I told you I can't say no.
Stop getting mad at me already : ).
Gary is not happy.
I think the word livid might be appropriate.
Kaish is "StArViNg" in only a way
that a 9 year old can be starving.
The door bell rings.
Right away, I welcome them,
apologize for the mess,
and say I have exactly one hour
and then I must continue packing for our trip.
So- they give their presentation.
It's about a mortgage program called
United First.
I actually think it is very smart.
I would actually do it.
If I had an extra $3,500.
and if my husband said OK.
They stay for 2 and a half hours.
2 and a half.
I can not convince them to leave.
Belive me when I say that I tried!
I say I will think about it
and I say I have to consult with my husband.
The branch manager says he will mail me a contract.
He wants me to sign it
(oh, and write a check for $3,500 too)
and send it back during the month of June.
Apparently, my camera salesman,
must have a sale in June.
Well, now I feel terrible.
My nice cameraman needs a sale.
My husband is IRATE.
I just don't know what to do.
I shoo them out.
I tell Gary about the program and he says NO WAY!
I told my Daddy about the program and he says
send your mortgage company the extra $3,500.
Do not pay them money!
My brother, the accountant, he says no too.
OK fine, I am not going to do it.
But then the calls start.
Every. Single. Day. while we were at the beach.
My camera man.
His regional manager.
His regional manager's wife.
I thought this had to be a joke!
So- on to my dilemna.
It isn't: Should I get the United First program
It is: How do I tell the Camera Man to
leave me alone.
I really do think he is nice.
I do like his program,
I just have been advised not to participate.
I need help.
I feel bad.
Advice? Words of wisdom? New camera store ideas : )
Bring it on Counselor!
Oh, and before everyone says
how lovely I look in the pictures : )
well, that isn't me.
That, is my sister Betsy.
I look just like her.
Give (or Take)
100 and some pounds...
