Marriage Advice

What are you putting off right now?

I have some Marriage advice.

Some really, really GREAT marriage advice.

I wish someone would have shared this with me-

when I got married

exactly 1 year, 8 months, and 26 days ago...

BUY A KING SIZE BED!

Here is my story.

My sad, sad story!

Kaish and I were buying furniture for our new house.

We go to a store and start buying.

Sofa and chairs. Check.

Kitchen table and chairs. Check.

Kaishon's bed and dresser. Check.

And that is when the problem occured.

There were tons of PRETTY beds.

I found the MOST perfect one in the store.

Super, duper happy was I : )

The salesman said "Do you want this size? Queen?"

I looked at it and it looked HUGE.

Like humungous. Like WAY huger than my twin bed.

It looked perfect.

Of course I said "Yes. Queen would be perfect, thanks."

I am sad to report,

1 year, 8 months and 26 days later,

that Queen size is NOT perfect.

It is not wonderful.

It is not OK at all.

Gary, my AMAZING husband,

of 1 year, 8 months and 26 days,

says I hog the bed.

This is RIDICULOUS in every way.

He is the bed hog.

I want more room.

I need more room.

I need a KING SIZE BED.

I wish someone would have told me

that boys are bed hogs.

They say it is us...

but that is a lie!

I am starting a fund for a new bed.

A new BIG spacious bed.

I just can't take one more WHINE about bed hogging.

Puuuuuuuuuuuuhlease!

It's crazy, I tell you.

Such a tragedy.

This is my brother Johnny and his wife Joanna.

2 J's are better than one.

I won't mention the baby since her name is J free. My Daddy, John and my Mommy, Jandy.

I think they are SO ugly.
So ugly I want to scream.
And, I am telling you this,
because it's the beginning of Spring.
They are going to be out in full force now.
UGLY, ugly, UGLY shoes...
So, if you want to know why I am in
a positively GrUmPy mood today-
It's because I think these are
the absolute worst shoes on the planet!

I know I have some issues
if ugly shoes make me grumpy!

We had some wonderful guests for supper this week.

This is Ms. Taylor and her husband, Mr. Taylor.

Ms. Taylor was a School Counselor

at a school I worked at in Philadelphia.

I loved her immediately.

I could tell instantaneously that she really cared about the students.

She used to bring cut up apples

and other assorted fruits for kids to snack on

while they were sharing problems.

She gave up her lunch time to help.

She showed love to the children daily.

She showed love even when it was frowned upon to do so.

She is someone I look up to and respect.

She is definitely one of my heroes.

I was stressing before they came-

because you know I am not

the most fantastic cook around...

Gary told me I could never have company again.

But then they came.

The stress melted.

It was a blessing for sure.

But then, while I was doing my taxes today

had their first baby this morning.

It was an extremely difficult delivery.

Growing up is hard to do.

Kaish had a concert at school today.

The Third Grade Showcase.

He sang Del Gatto the Cat,

The Star Spangled Banner,

and He's Got the Whole World in His Hands. It was lovely.

I realized as I was sitting there in the audience
stuffed full of mothers,
how quickly he is growing up.
You know what a great embracer
of growing up I am, right?
I rushed right home and found
his old Rollie Pollie Ollie DVD.

Guess What? He still loves it.

I can't let him grow up just yet.

I am too scared.

Quince is out of surgery.

The Dr's are hopeful

for a quick recovery.

Quince's Surgery- Please Pray!

Quince is having surgery on his skull tomorrow.

He has improved greatly since being released from Rehab.

Quince continues to struggle with severe depression

as a result of the stroke.

This has been a trying time for his family.

Please keep them in your prayers.
